In the middle of a journey called life
Born in not-so-small city of Medan, Indonesia but currently lived in Singapore. I enjoyed the process of learning new things. I have dipped my toes in photography, coding, networking, and industrial automation to name a few.
What have I done so far
Since 2006, I’ve been working in Industrial Automation industry, specifically in dairy processing. Before that, had done some stint in administrative work for printing industry and technician in packaging machine distributor.
This site
One of my goal in 2021 is to get a personal website, and I am doing it at the very end of 2021. This site will contain hodgepodge of topic, from coding, to industrial automation. Hopefully this will keep me entertained throughout my journey.

Project Manager
Several noteworthy milestones:
- Completed migration of Wonderware System Platform (version 3.1 to 2017 U3) on-time.
- SCADA system recovery from disaster
- SCADA infrastructure upgrade:
- Physically segregated network to VLAN (including PLC and server network migration)
- Baremetal servers to HCI
- Backup and snapshot strategy
- Physical hardware sizing
Assistant Manager
Responsible to manage projects timeline, deliverables, and engineers to meet timeline, objective, and quality for clients:
- Server sizing
- SCADA Architecture proposal
- Database design
- Process Functional Specifications
- IQ, OQ, and PQ document co-authoring
- Annual Disaster Recovery exercise for SCADA
Senior Engineer
Responsible for delivering SCADA projects for clients:
- Wonderware System Platform design, modification, and commissioning
- Microsoft SQL Database maintenance, development, and commissioning
- Conversion from MS-Access to Web-based (ASPX) web-reporting
- Develop, implement, and maintain backup and disaster recovery for client
- Wonderware InBatch system implementation and maintenance
- Rockwell FactoryTalk Historian Server design, implementation, and maintenance
- Develop and maintain PLC program with phase logic and customized control module for plant instruments and equipment
Spearheaded digitization and remote-work arrangements.
Assistant Engineer
Responsible for supporting Senior Engineers to deliver project for clients:
- Siemens PLC Programming
- Allen Bradley PLC Programming
- InTouch HMI modification
- SQL Server maintenance and troubleshooting
- Working with client to meet the requirement for FDA, especially pertaining Auditing log, documentations, and CFR21 Part-11
IT Engineer
Responsible to deliver IT solution for both internal and external use
In-House project implemented:
- NAS for project file repository and archiving
- On-prem AD for authentication
- Single node VSphere for development
Associate Engineer
Oversees operational department of company.
R&D in barcode printer and scanner, packaging machines and material.
Provides technical support and servicing for customer:
- packaging machines,
- packaging materials,
- barcode printer,
- barcode scanner, and
- software
Pre-sales visit to customer’s place and understand more about technical specifications and propose suitable machine and/or materials.
Developed in-house invoicing and stock tracking software based on WAMP.
Planner
Responsible for planning daily operations: Ensuring raw materials, logistics, work stages, and paperwork in order.
Also in charge of preparing monthly financial overview (P&L, Balance Sheet, Outstanding Orders) for stakeholders. On the sides, preparing printing and die-cut artworks.
